1. Have you ever went to follow another Blog but could not find their social media links? It has happened to me and others I have heard mention over the years. Social Media Icon buttons are a great way to make it simple and quick for someone to follow you. Make sure you place them at the top of your page. My favorite place is in the header or top of the right sidebar. Don’t give a potential follower reason to leave without connecting!
2. Check your links…! Whether it is out there on a Mommy Blog Networking site, like (Bloggy Moms or Mom Bloggers Club), make sure that your links are current and working properly. On those sites, you find bloggers asking you to follow them here or there…and when you click the link, there is nothing! Make sure you are sending them to your desired following destination.
3. Give your visitors options! There are some blogs that will only have a subscriber box or Google+ button, as a following option. That is fine if they are the only means they are using to connect. However, in the current blogging atmosphere I think it is important to have at least 3 options, so visitors don’t think you are forcing their hands.
Now, some of these tips may be familiar to you and some not. There may be some of these tips that you would like to incorporate and just don’t know how. The technical side of Blogging is not always easy and learning all the ins and outs does not come overnight.
